Bloodle in Blue

I knew well before the days of Adult colouring books how relaxing the act of doodling and colouring can be. This was one of my many ‘pick up and put down’ doodles which started with a few french curves and grew and grew to a visual plethora of marks, dots and very controlled scribbles.

Sometimes, these doodles stick with a particular colour palette  as is the case here with blues and  purples. However the trick is knowing when to stop. Yes, adult colouring books are great as the design is there already for you but I prefer to shut my mind to what I see on paper and look at what I see inside my head…
