Like a magpie I’m drawn to anything shiny and I have always been obsessed with metallics paints. However here, despite the obvious attraction of the mirror-like surface which glistens and gleams in the light, the underlay of texture tells the real story. Here I’ve ‘sculptured’ heavy matte gel onto the surface of the canvas before I sprayed the whole thing with Mirror craft paint. Art work like this suits modern and contemporary interiors very well and I will explore this technique further in the future.
