That’s Happy New Year in Russian for those who are interested btw !!

For all you compelling creatives here is the plan for the next few months;

Feb: Cosmic Creations — working on learning and experimenting with different acrylic techniques like glazing, pouring and dripping to create a couple of canvases depicting deep space and colourful galaxies, nebulas and all forms of celestial entities using various metallic and glittery paints in my possession. The purpose is really to learn about various types of paint, their viscosities and their ultimate effects on a black substrate.

March: — Intro to Oil painting –. While we have our warm weather so as not to get intoxicated on Turps LOL !! — we will complete a still life painting in Oil using various painting techniques learnt previously with acrylic – ie glazing and layering. The purpose is to practice with oil paint and play with its beautiful buttery qualities. Oil blends really well as well layers so folks can choose their own subject matter if not wanting to paint a still life.

April: — Mixed Media techniques. — Learning to transfer a photographic image onto canvas using soft gel and working other mediums onto the canvas surface — like inks, charcoal and dry media.

May: — Basics of portrait drawing and watercolour techniques. —-Wet-on-wet blending and other watercolour paint techniques. Using watercolour and guache paints simultaneously to create depth and interest to the portrait.

So, darlings a very interesting first part of the year planned so please put the feelers out to anyone and everyone you think may like be to be included in my 2 favourite pastimes…….. wine and art !! — LOL Feel free to pass this info on to them.
